چکیده

This article is the third and last of a series models developed to investigate impact climate on spatiotemporal biology parasitoids. After two earlier papers investigating Tranosema rostrale Meteorus trachynotus, this concerns tachinid fly Actia interrupta (Diptera: Tachinidae). An individual-based model seasonal A. was determine its interactions with hosts, spruce budworm Choristoneura fumiferana (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) obliquebanded leafroller C. rosaceana in eastern North America. The based developmental responses ‘the parasitoid’s successive life stages ovipositional response adult females temperature. It found that number generations parasitoid undergoes each year varies geographically from four, potential growth rate, as dictated by synchrony larvae overwintering host rosaceana, highly patterned topographically result phenological matching entering diapause late summer.

Western Spruce Budworm Outbreak History

Western spruce budworm (Choristoneura occidentalis Freeman) outbreak history was reconstructed for the Sacramento Mountains of south -central New Mexico, at the southern limit of the species distribution range. Six host tree -ring width chronologies (Douglas -fir and white fir) and three non -host control chronologies (ponderosa pine) were used for this reconstruction spanning from 1800 to 1990...

Entire solutions of the spruce budworm model

Here N is the spruce budworm population density, rB is the linear birth rate of the budworm and KB is the carrying capacity which is related to the density of foliage available on the trees. The P(N)-term represents predation, generally by birds. To be specific, we take the form for P(N) suggested by Ludwig et al., namely BN2 A2+N2 , where A and B are positive constants, and the dynamics of N(t...

Modeling spruce budworm population revisited: impact of physiological structure on outbreak control.

Understanding the dynamics of spruce budworm population is very important for the protection of spruce and balsam fir trees of North American forests, and a full understanding of the dynamics requires careful consideration of the individual physiological structures that is essential for outbreak control. A model as a delay differential equation is derived from structured population system, and ...

A review of insect parasitoids associated with Lobesia botrana (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775) in Italy. 1. Diptera Tachinidae and Hymenoptera Braconidae (Lepidoptera, Tortricidae)

This paper is aimed to summarize the information available on the parasitoid complex of the European Grapevine Moth (EGVM), Lobesia botrana (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775) (Lepidoptera Tortricidae) in Italy. The list is the result of the consultation of a vast bibliography published in Italy for almost two hundred years, from 1828 to date. This allowed the clarification and correction of misunde...

History of tachinid classification (Diptera, Tachinidae)

The history of the classification of the Tachinidae (Diptera) is traced from Meigen to the present. The contributions of Robineau-Desvoidy, Townsend, Villeneuve, Mesnil, Herting, Wood and many others are discussed within a chronological, taxonomic, and geographic context. The gradual development of the Tachinidae into its modern concept as a family of the Oestroidea and the emergence of the cla...
